Blüemlisalp-Huus im Kiental

Die kleine renovierte Wohnung (2 Zimmer und WC) befindet sich im Dorfkern in einem alten Haus, nahe Postautostation. Sie ist einfache aber schöne eingerichtet. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich. Zusätzlich zu bezahlendes Frühstück (vegetarisch) gibt es im Nachbarhaus über die Strasse.

Duschen kann man nur im Nachbarhaus über die Strasse. Dies sollt in der Ausschreibung erwähnt werden.

We loved staying here. It is a simple but very friendly option up in a small town in a remote (by Swiss standards) village. The host is very friendly and helpful. The room has everything we needed. We would be extremely happy to stay here again.

We had only one strange/not great experience here. When we stayed in Austria (at a similar style place) the night before we arrived we had a very kind host who had offered us complementary use of the washing machine. I stupidly said we were fine. We subsequently realised, however, that we did have a few things we should wash. Unfortunately it would have cost us SF10 to use the machine here, so we thought it was just as sensible to wash our things in the basin. We did this and then hung them out on the clothes line just outside our room. It was a nice sunny day so we went for a hike. When we came back we discovered that one pair of my girlfriend’s underwear had disappeared (and the other one had been moved). These were hidden behind a couple of shirts. Nothing else had been moved in any way. While I like to assume “misadventure” rather than deliberate acts, in this case I really can only presume that someone passing by had come up (easy enough to do) and taken the underwear (sadly not the first time this has happened to my partner). The day before we had been encouraged to leave our packs unattended as “this is a very safe town”. I have no doubt the locals are trustworthy, but it is still a tourist destination, so do watch your things!

Schönes, schlichtes Zimmer mit separatem Vorraum mit Tisch; WC und Lavabo; schönes altes Holzhaus; sehr ruhig und tolle Lage.

Côté sanitaires, 1 lavabo et 1 wc mais pas de douche dans le logement (la propriétaire nous a proposé de partager la sienne). Sauna mis en avant dans l'annonce sans qu'il ait été possible d'en profiter. Petit déjeuner continental mentionné dans l'annonce, non servi lors de notre séjour (1 nuit fin juillet), et qu'il n'a pas été possible de réserver sur demande en supplément de la nuit. Cependant, 1 machine à café avec capsules et sachets de thé + infusion à disposition.
