Live right by the Sognefjord

Location on the water and views are exceptional! Very charming, comfortable and well-appointed apartment. All linens were provided. Friendly and responsive hosts.

We needed 3 sleeping areas for 4 adults and used one of the rollaway beds. Guests should be mindful that the length of the rollaways are shorter than a regular twin bed, more suitable for children.

We loved everything about staying here. We understood it was a walk from the ferry but planned accordingly and made it easily on foot. (We were based in Bergen visiting our daughter, so left our case there and came by ferry - on leaving we carried on the ferry to Flam and back via trains to Myrdal then Bergen) We were blown away by the views, the weather was exceptionally kind to us and we literally had two days of bliss. We walked in to Hermansverk for some shopping and had a little walk around the village which was quiet and very beautiful. We cooked and sat out on the porch until dark and even managed a very brief dip in the fjord both mornings - Wow what an experience we will never forget!

Beautiful quiet location right on the Sognefjord, peaceful and cosy. The hosts were very helpful and very kind. We had an issue getting to the ferry port early in the morning and the host was so brilliant and helped us out. Great bathroom! Plenty of kitchen utensils and resources, even useful things like foil and clingfilm. We had everything we needed. The kids loved the trampoline too.

The only thing to note is that both bedrooms are double beds not twin beds.

Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet, es fehlt an nichts! Der Ausblick auf den sehr ruhigen Fjord ist toll, die Nachbarschaft scheint auch ruhig zu sein. Die Hollywood-Schaukel ist nett, die weiße (haarende) Katze ist ein toller Bonus!

Die Außenanlagen wirken unfertig: Der Eingang führt über Bauschutt und zu dem Bootssteg kommt man nur über Umwege. Der Einrichtungsstil ist etwas für Fans der 90er Jahre: Kassettendeck, CD-Sammlung, eine Buch-Enzyklopädie und die Stehlampe, die jeder damals hatte... Draußen hört man das Verkehrsaufkommen der Straße hinter dem Haus und die Parksituation ist sehr eng. Das Schlimmste aber zum Schluss: Die Deckenkonstruktion scheint keinerlei Schalldämmung zu haben, sondern sogar Tritte zu verstärken (wie ein Subwoofer). Die Eigentümer wohnen über einem, man hört WIRKLICH JEDEN Tritt. Das führt dazu, dass man mit den Vermietern gleichzeitig einschlafen und aufstehen muss.
