Firstly the staff were very sweet. Gave us bottles of water and fresh towels after two or three nights here (4 total). Every time we came through we got a lovely smile and greeting. Little bag of toiletries on the bed when you check in was a lovely touch The fan, worked, but it was hard to sleep sometimes (however it seemed to cost a good bit more for A/C on booking.com). It is tolerable if you’re on a budget like us but it was incredibly stuffy. Lovely hot shower although the bathroom is very small and everything will get wet

I personally would not stay here as a solo female traveller, nothing to do with this specific property at all but moreso the area. It is just full of older male tourists hanging out with MUCH younger local women or sitting by themselves staring at you as you walk by. Even walking with my partner I felt uncomfortable with them all gawking so something to keep in mind with location - however it is very close to a lot of things and it’s very walkable The room is above a restaurant. You and everything you own will smell like garlic. The window doesn’t get any fresh air but instead overlooks a kitchen. People were cooking from very early to even 1am one night. They weren’t noisy or playing loud music or anything but when struggling to sleep it’s very noticeable. The bathroom has slits in the wall to outside (again not outside I think it was to maybe back of the kitchen or something as it was always dark) but mosquitos kept coming through here and we got a couple bad bites. Bathroom door couldn’t even close fully too to avoid this
