Plenty of space, some original features eg fireplaces. Good choice of bedrooms. Really good location in town centre.

We had toddlers - no high chairs or stair gates provided so had to use furniture to barricade the stairs! Lots of showers but no bath tub - should be at least one in a property this size. The best living space for a large group was set up as a dining room though it should have been the lounge. No curtains or blinds on lots of windows. No thoughtful provision of tea bags etc. House felt thrown together but never lived in to test. Worst bit was booking experience. I needed another house for extra guests and tried to book one, but the website just buffered. I called booking.com and they said the reason the second house wouldn't go through was that I owed £299 more on The Wiltons - and this despite the fact that I'd received an email confirmation that I'd paid in full! They wouldn't listen to my protests so as I needed the second house badly (family gathering to scatter my husband's ashes) I paid it over the phone. I got an email acknowledgement but it never showed on the official booking. I am still very upset about that.
