The location, property was so clean and amazing hot tub.

Absolutely perfect

Excellent location. We were getting married and so everything was literally a few minutes drive away. We were met on arrival and everything was explained to us. Was really a very beautiful place to stay and the hosts had thought of everything from tea, coffee to butter and jam in the fridge, fresh milk and bread. I had forgotten the hairdryer but there was one in the drawer. The only thing was I thought the hot tub was £50 for our stay and not £50 per night so we only used it for the one evening as it was late December and very cold so getting in and out to keep putting logs the fire got very chilly. That was the only reason I marked down for value for money. This is a personal preference and does not reflect at all on the service or the hosts. We will definitely be revisiting. Definitely 5 stars

The price for the hot tub every night, but we thoroughly enjoyed the night we did use it, we had never used a log fuelled one before so was an experience

Fantastic Stay

The place was really fresh and had everything that was needed. The courtesy hamper was a really nice touch and well received We all had a good night sleep as it was very quiet and comfy beds. The Gretna Chase Hotel had a good menu and was staggering distance on the way home We will definitely be back

The only criticism would be, the property could do with either a coffee table or maybe a nest of tables, but that's it

Excellent house to stay at

Orchard cottage was an excellent place to say, very clean and tidy, bedrooms were comfy and large, even the sofa bed in the lounge was very comfortable. Well equipped kitchen too

Enjoyed our stay

It was a one night stay that was very welcome it was easy to find and walkable to The Retail Park. There did seem to be other walks for the dog but didn't have enough time to explore. Property was clean with everything we needed.

Very comfortable overnight stay

Directions provided were excellent given sat nav will not get you to the property. Hosts were very friendly and the accommodation was excellently presented. We were having to return from a trip to Scotland at short notice due to a family emergency and so this was just an overnight stay, and we didn't use the hot tub. The property was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. There was a pleasant garden area to use. For us, the proximity to the M6 was a bonus given we had nearly 400 miles to drive the following day. Obviously there is a bit of noise when outside, but it's pretty quiet inside with the windows shut, certainly didn't disturb our sleep. A very nice place to stay for a night.

We travelled with our young dog and the garden is not fully enclosed so we couldn't let her off the lead. Not a major issue but perhaps a small area fenced off for the property would have been good so we could have swung the doors open and let her come and go as she pleased. Being picky though - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful modern house with amazing hot tub!

The house was spacious and comfortable. And it smelled amazing! Nice little welcome touches like bread, jam and butter. Huge bedrooms and brilliant bathroom. The best bit is definitely the wood fired hot tub though, with wild rabbits running around the lawn! Dougie was super friendly.

Maybe a tea towel and coffee cafetiere would be great additions

The perfect place to spend my birthday weekend, unbelievable

The location was excellent, the facilities were great and Dougie was lovely! We really enjoyed our stay and our only regret is not booking it for 2 days! We will definitely be returning 100%.
