Casa de Praia na Barra, Ilhéus

host was brilliant, very attentive, helped us with many things for check in and finding supermarket etc. very helpful. The place was clean and tidy, towels were provided, it was a quiet location and beach on the doorstep. it was by far the nicest house on the strip.

it was a bit small for our family of three but this was our fault and we knew what we were getting into.

The apartment was light, nice looking with chairs and sofa and had balcony. We were received very well by Rute. She even volunteered to wash our clothes when new washing machine was not working.

It has sewer running next to building. It smells. “Beach” is undergoing works. I would not bath in that beach, not even calling it beach. Garbage is being burnt close to building sending smoke and bad smell from evening till morning. In the house itself there are many things not well planned. Kitchen cupboards are placed too tight to each other so they are difficult to open. Kitchen table is made of heavy stone and has little room for chairs. There are 4 chairs but you can only put two under table at the same time. Chairs are too big for table. There were no sharp knifes e.g. to cut bread. Light switches are placed in an odd way. Bedroom walls were extremely hot upon our arrival. They cool down a bit during night but heat up again during day. Toilet doesn’t have door. There are no wardrobes to hang clothes. The flat is on the second floor, Rute is living downstairs. Entrance to upstairs is tight and not well planned. And security lockups are plenty on the way from down to up.

Localização fica bem centralizada entre praias do norte e centro.

Local é limpo, tem ótimo atendimento, a senhora que nos recebeu foi extremamente simpática e muito educada

Não tem vaga para estacionar e o ar condicionado estava com defeito, o carro fica em frente na rua, a praia estava em obra e fica a beira de um esgoto a céu aberto, fomos em outra praia próxima, de vez em quando tem mau cheiro, mas a prefeitura estava fazendo obras no local e acredito que deve resolver depois que terminar.
