Deze villa is echt een verborgen pareltje. Het is gelegen in de heuvels met een prachtig uitzicht op het dorp Alikampos en de Witte Bergen van Kreta. We verbleven er met een groep vrienden, maar dit huis is ook ideaal voor familiebijeenkomsten. Het is gelegen in een rustig dorpje met voornamelijk woningen en functionele boerderijen, met slechts een paar eet- en drinkgelegenheden en mogelijkheid om basisbenodigdheden aan te schaffen. De villa zelf is een oud familiehuis die prachtig is gerenoveerd en gemoderniseerd, met behoud van zijn originaliteit en charme. Er zijn 3 keukens en 5 badkamers, die allemaal zeer goed zijn uitgerust. Een van de grote voordelen is de grote woonkamer, perfect om te socializen en te dineren met de hele groep.
De villa heeft een zeer ruime buitenruimte met een prachtig uitzicht op het dorp en voldoende meubilair om buiten te eten (zowel in de zon als in de schaduw). Alsof dat nog niet genoeg is, zijn er ook nog twee dakterrassen voor de twee kamers op de bovenverdieping, ideaal om de laatste avondzon op te vangen of gewoon van het landschap te genieten. 's Nachts hoor je alleen de uilen en de bellen van de schapen in de nabijgelegen velden.
Het zwembad is erg groot en heeft een schaduwrijk gedeelte met voldoende ligstoelen en zitgelegenheid. Een auto is wel noodzakelijk en de locatie is ideaal om West-Kreta en de omliggende schoonheid te verkennen, met drukkere steden en stranden op korte rijafstand. De grootste voordelen zijn de ruimte, zowel binnen als buiten, samen met de fantastich comfortabele bedden en de snelle wifi-verbinding. Uiteraard willen we niet de enorme gastvrijheid en professionaliteit van Vasilis en Despina vergeten, die ons de weg hebben gewezen in de villa en de omgeving, en altijd bereikbaar waren voor vragen.
Kortom, we hebben hier een fantastische tijd gehad met onze vrienden. Het is een prachtige accommodatie gelegen in een landelijke omgeving die we absoluut aanbevelen, en we komen zeker terug.
Ons verblijf was veel te kort!!! We hadden graag meer tijd gehad om van de accommodatie en de omgeving te genieten, want er is zoveel te doen (we werden ook op de website van de eigenaar gewezen, www.halases.com, die vol ideeën staat), en komen daarom zeker terug! Nogmaals bedankt!

Począwszy od rezerwacji i komunikacji z właścicielem, który natychmiast odpowiadał na wiadomości, poprzez proces odebrania kluczy ze skrytki, aż po warunki w Willi - wszystko było perfekcyjne i na najwyższym poziomie!
Piękne i zadbane otoczenie domu, czysty basen, maksymalne wyposażenie (kuchnie, pralka, zmywarka, lodówka, ekspres, toster, naczynia, podstawowe kosmetyki w łazience, ręczniki, etc...).
Willa składa się z 3 niezależnych sypialni (każda z osobną łazienką i aneksem kuchennym), dodatkowo duży salon i taras. Bardzo wygodne łóżka, pachnąca pościel.
Miejsce parkingowe na 2-3 samochody.
KLIMATYCZNY DOM, w którym pobyt to najwyższa przyjemność :)
Bardzo dobrze skomunikowany z trasą Chania-Rethymno, aczkolwiek nieco na uboczu, w idyllicznym otoczeniu kreteńskiej wioski. Wspaniała baza wypadowa do zwiedzania zachodniej części wyspy.

We stayed at Villa Halases as a group of friends - every year we make such a trip - and it was truly one of the best villa experiences we've ever had. Whether you're coming with family or a group of friends, this place ticks all the boxes!
First of all, the villa is incredibly spacious – there was more than enough room for all of us to relax without feeling on top of each other. Multiple seating areas, both in- and outdoors, meant we could hang out together or sneak away for some quiet time with a book. The layout is super thoughtful, and everything just works.
The renovation has been done beautifully – it still feels authentic to Crete, but with all the modern comforts you’d expect (great showers, comfy beds, air-conditioning, Wi-Fi that actually works, etc.). And it was absolutely spotless – the cleanliness really stood out.
We also loved the outdoor spaces. The private pool area is a dream, with loungers for sunbathing, shaded dining spots, and amazing mountain views. The weather mid-April was fantastic with bright blue skies and sun most days, which meant we spent most of our time outside, swimming, relaxing, grilling and eating, chatting, and stargazing late into the night.
The location is ideal – peaceful and private, but within easy reach of the beaches and villages of Apokoronas. We took day trips to Chania, Georgioupolis, and even Lake Kournas, then came “home” to total calm and quiet.
And the hosts were fantastic. Friendly, responsive, and genuinely kind people. When we arrived they were there to hand us the keys and explain the property. They also helped with everything we needed and gave us some great local recommendations. It felt more like staying with extended family than a rental – in the best way.
If you're traveling as a group and want a place that offers space, style, and soul, Villa Halases is the place. We’re already planning our next trip back.
Although it's not really something that we didn't like, it's more trying to help set expectations. As there are no real shops in the village (you can get basics in the kafenion), it's best to have a car as the nearest supermarkets are in Vryses, which is about 5 min drive.
