The Ford, Country retreat

This is a little gem tucked away in the middle of nowhere. The apartment is spacious, and well equipped, good shower, comfortable bed. There was no fan when I got there and the host very kindly got one to me for the second night. Good comms on how to find the appartment and I loved the little outside table and chairs looking out on to the countryside. Very tranquil.

The round bed is not great for tall people, my feet were hanging out the bottom! The entrance is probably not great for those with mobility issues as there are lots of steps and uneven ground to get there. Nowhere to eat within walking distance.

It was comfortable and quiet with everything we needed.

The bed was round and not the best shape for anyone over 5'10" tall. The internet could be intermittent and beware that you drive through a ford, so not recommended for lower slung cars.

The property was really clean, it had everything you need to have a great stay. The outside seating area was great for relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet of the area.

There was nothing I could really say I did not like other than the WiFi was not the best but it worked.

Nice and clean and lounge was cosy. It was nice and warm when we arrived which was appreciated on a freezing cold night. Everything we needed in kitchen. Bathroom was nice and good size. Good deep bath. Nice to have some accessories like shower gel etc.

Definitely didn't like the round bed. Even though we are both quite short we still had issues slipping down the bed and legs dangling out. The room definitely could be re jigged to accommodate a normal double bed. We arrived to a large amount of flood water separating us from the property because of where it is and is obviously there most of the time especially in the winter. Was very unhappy to be driving through this as the water came up very high. Think that should be made more clear or warned.
