The staff was very friendly and very helpful. Arriving with a cold I could check-in at 3:30 pm instead of 5 pm. Departing on Sunday, the office was not open for luggage storage. I therefore could keep the room until 11:30 am instead of having to check-out at 10 am. There was also some staff speaking good English. I chose the location because it was situated half way between the ancient city center and the lungo mare with a beach of 3 km. It was perfect. Lots of shops, cafe, two supermarkets around the block. And historical Centre and beach in walking distance.

Sure it was a low budget accommodation and therefore very basic and simple. That I did not mind. But there is a difference between real estste business and letting holiday homes. And that is, that tourists arriving by plane do not bring half there household with them, don't want to have to buy bulk packages of supplies and kitchen equipment for a few days of stay,. The apartment was so poorly equipped (kitchen, toilet paper, no detergents for dishes or bathroom, no sponge or kitchen cloth, no tins for sugar and coffee, no cutting board or bread knife, no WiFi, but extra charge for towels if needed) that I felt truly offended that on top of that I had to pay a 150€ deposit! Especially traveling with Ryan Air you do not want to increase your luggage by even half a kilo and are not going to take anything from the apartment with you. And subterranean, there were 100s of mosquitos, although none anywhere else in town. No insect repellent to plug in provided of course. - I truly missed the comfort of holiday apartments in Croatia, same price category, where a holiday home truly is "a home away from home" (a quote of an American Marriott hospitality instructor for GMs). The things I mentioned are no investment but they do make the difference between a comfortable holiday and a stay full of hussles.
