The WhiteHouse FarmHouse Overnight Stay

Area where the property is situated.

My family and I booked this entire property and all of its facilities for a quiet weekend getaway, expecting complete privacy and the amenities advertised. Instead, our stay was ruined by severe privacy breaches, nonexistent amenities, and unprofessional staff management. 1. Total Lack of Privacy and Security Despite paying for the entire house, we had to share the grounds with continuous streams of neighborhood children throughout the weekend. On Friday, we asked the maintenance worker to inform the children that the venue was privately hired. Manager Maserame also instructed him to clear the property, yet the children remained and swam until late afternoon. On Saturday alone, between 50 and 60 children entered the yard in groups. We even caught children crawling through the electronic fence to get inside, forcing us to cancel our plans to visit family just to guard our privacy. When we confronted the situation, we were shocked to find staff members were sitting by the pool area with these children, consuming alcohol. 2. Misleading & Unusable Pool Facility Upon arrival, we were told the swimming pool was out of service for guest use. However, staff members were actively charging local children R2.00 each to use the pool, turning our private rental into a public commercial pool. 3. Advertised Amenities Not Working Wi-Fi: The Wi-Fi key provided did not work. Although the Wi-Fi network itself was active (as the smart TV was streaming without issue), Manager Maserame failed to provide the correct login credentials despite continuous communication throughout Friday afternoon and evening. Air Conditioning: Air conditioning was listed on the booking page, but none was available at the property. 4. No Hot Water & Unreasonable Late Check-Out Demands On Sunday morning, there was no hot water for my family to bathe. Because we had a long journey ahead, we had to wait for assistance. The maintenance worker only arrived around 14:00.
