The apartment is modern and new, with a spacious kitchen and an amazing panoramic view over the bay. Although the private road to the apartment is narrow and a bit rough, the location is very good. It is close to the island’s main junction and only a few minutes from a large supermarket, making it a great base for exploring the island.

The apartment has a few practical issues. Although Wi-Fi is advertised, it is actually an LTE hotspot with a 5 GB data limit. With three people using it, the data was used up after four days, and we had to use our own mobile internet for the rest of the stay. Check-in and check-out are done by an agent, not the host. We were not shown around the apartment or told where basic things were. The main focus during check-in seemed to be collecting the €500 security deposit. The apartment was also quite dusty. Even the TV remote had cobwebs, and I had a dust allergy for the first time in more than 15 years. Some basic items, such as an iron, hairdryer, and wine glasses, were missing (or we couldn’t find them). Also, the living room and one bedroom do not have blackout curtains, so the rooms get very bright early in the morning.
