Villa Nathalie, 2 bedrooms, jacuzzi, king size bed, hammock, FIREPLACE

Una casa pequeña, muy acogedora y cómoda en un lugar tranquilo, cerca del pueblo de Chicán. Tiene todo lo necesario y excelente comunicación con la anfitriona. tiene una zona de BBQ excelente.

Todo estuvo bien

It’s a beautiful house with plenty of beds. I slept in the master bedroom in the back. The house has very high ceilings. It’s surrounded by windows and it has a great shower a decent sometimes quirky Jacuzzi and the kitchen and dining area look out onto the mountains. It’s about a 10 minute ride to the main road. there’s a small the town of Chican nearby but I did not visit there. It’s quiet and I could see it being a nice place to stay with a group who wants to cook out and the patio. There’s a washing machine and dryer in the house, which is great. A small hummingbird crashed into the window and I was able to save her. I brought her to Amaru the wildlife rescue thanks to the next-door neighbor. I was able to find Luis a very good driver who took me to the reservoir and then back to cuenca and he does speak some English I gave the owner his name and number is reliable and pleasant and his prices are reasonable.

There are animals in the vicinity that do make some noise, but that’s to be expected because it is a farming area: cows, roosters and dogs. There were some issues in the house that I told the owner about and They were subsequently fixed because the workmen were already there when I arrived fixing the washing machine. I had an issue with the lockbox both combinations that I was given did not work so that is something that needs to be fixed. There is a fireplace which I would’ve loved to have used, but it just seemed too complicated to get the fire going at least for me. The bed could be firmer because I have a bad back. I am sensitive to it, and the pillows could’ve been softer —I have neck issues. The one thing that bothered me though was the container for the big bottle of water that they provide, which is appreciated, but when the bottle was empty I looked inside the ceramic container, and there was mould in there. It had not been cleaned for months. I told the owner who lives in cuenca and she said she would tell the Housekeeper clean it. I enjoyed my stay there despite the quirks of the house which like any House need maintenance overtime.

El lugar en el pueblito de Chicán fue ideal para nosotros que queriamos desconectar de la ciudad, descansar y conectar con la naturaleza. La villa hermosa, rústica pero a la vez con detalles especiales que la hacen acogedora y diferente. Los amplios ventanales que nos permitian ver hacia las montanas desde la cocina y desde las habitaciones realmente hermoso. Tuvimos acceso a internet, agua caliente sin complicaciones.

Lamentablemente nos proporcionaron mal el código de la caja de seguridad donde se encontraban las llaves para poder hacer el ingreso. Tuvimos que esperar cerca de 3 horas para poder ingresar a la propiedad ya que no podiamos comunicarnos con el host. Una vez que logramos comunicarnos, inmediatamente nos proporcionó la clave correcta y pudimos ingresar a la villa. Nuestra sugerencia sería solamente que tengan cuidado para próximas ocasiones en otorgar el codigo de manera correcta porque puede parecer muy molesto esperar tanto tiempo para poder ingresar. Luego de este percance, la host estuvo pendiente y muy atenta a todos nuestros requerimientos.

La casa es preciosa y decorada con mucho gusto. El jardín y la terraza están muy bonitos. Todo lo necesario se encuentra ahí. Hay una parrillada tradicional y otra eléctrica. La chimenea fue esencial porque hacía bastante frío.

El vecino con la música a todo volumen a nuestra llegada y durante horas... El frío que se queda en las piedras de la casa (felizmente la chimenea está!). Las sábanas de satén en la cama principal (a ciertas personas les gusta pero a nosotros no).
