Choosing this apartment was definitely a good decision. If you have a car, parking is not a problem at all. Parking along the road is free and we always managed to find a space within about 50 metres of the apartment. In fact, probably 99% of the time we parked directly outside. The road itself is also flat and easy to access. The location actually worked very well for us. There are supermarkets, bakeries and various other shops very close by, while Trapani centre is less than 10 minutes away by car. It is also very easy to get out of town if you want to explore more of western Sicily. With the car, Erice is roughly 20-30 minutes away, San Vito Lo Capo 45min and Mazara del Vallo around 1hr. Public transport exists and is reasonably useful, but personally I think having your own means of transport makes a big difference if you want to explore properly. As for the apartment itself, it is very spacious and comfortable. There is air conditioning in both bedrooms, which was very much appreciated in the summer, and having two bathrooms is also really convenient, especially when two people are trying to get ready at the same time. There is a small kitchen with more or less everything you need for a holiday stay, as well as a lovely little garden which is clearly looked after, with a few trees including a lemon tree. The biggest positive for us, though, was the owners. They were genuinely kind, welcoming and always available whenever we needed anything. They went out of their way to help us more than once and really made us feel looked after without ever being intrusive. Before arriving I was slightly unsure, mainly because it was our first time in Trapani and the property did not have as many reviews on Booking as some of the other places I had looked at. In the end, it turned out to be one of the nicest holidays we have had in a long time, and the owners definitely contributed to that!!
