Stella and Domenico met us right at the airport, and just an hour later we were already in Santa Maria. The apartment was spacious and very comfortable, with two proper bedrooms with wardrobes and a large studio area with a kitchen. The bathroom had a shower, toilet and washing machine. Everything was exactly as described in the listing. But that is not really what makes this place special — you can find similar amenities in many apartments. What truly stands out here is the atmosphere and the location. From the window and the small veranda by the entrance, you have a wonderful view over the bay with its yachts. It is a perfect place to sit with a cup of coffee in the morning. In the shady courtyard, surrounded by trees, there is a lovely cool swimming pool — ideal if you are not in a hurry to go to the beach and simply want to swim, relax and sunbathe on the loungers in peace and quiet. In the evening, you can have a barbecue in the courtyard or enjoy dinner on the rooftop terrace under the canopy, while watching an absolutely spectacular sunset. As almost everywhere along this part of the Calabrian coast, you have to walk downhill to reach the beach. From here, however, it takes only about five minutes on foot, or around three minutes by car. You can choose whichever type of beach you prefer: a free public beach where you bring your own towels and umbrella, or an equipped beach with paid sun loungers. The sea is crystal-clear and turquoise, with very comfortable access to the water, including for families with young children. There are several restaurants and bars near the beach, as well as a grocery store. We did not need to visit the shop very often, though, because Stella and Domenico had made sure the apartment was supplied with almost everything we needed. And a special word about the hosts themselves. Stella and Domenico are incredibly warm, welcoming and positive people, always ready to answer any question and help whenever needed. Thank you, guys!

The shower leaks a little

Die Aussicht, der Pool, sehr schöne und gepflegte Anlage, die voll ausgestattete Küche, Parkplatz am Haus und die Waschmaschine mit Zubehör! Die Unterkunft liegt nah am Meer und ist sehr sauber. Sehr nette und freundliche Gastgeber.

Salz und Zucker waren vorhanden, etwas Öl und Pfeffer wären noch toll gewesen.
