Lux Fly-Fishing Haven near Glacier Park - Hot Tub

We chose this property because we were looking for a good home base to explore and do activities in and around Glacier National Park. This location was perfect for that. The house is around the corner less than 5 minutes from the entrance to the park and in close proximity to any kind of outdoor activities you might want to do in the area such as whitewater rafting, fly fishing, horseback riding, hiking, golfing, boating, etc. We were easily able to take excursions to Big Mountain in Whitefish and Flathead Lake, both only 30-45 minutes away. We loved the setting and scenery surrounding this property. The backyard was gorgeous being adjacent to a golf course with amazing views of the mountains in every direction and right across the road from the river. We saw deer in the backyard regularly. The backyard is also very dark at night and in an open area in the valley, which makes for a wonderful spot to view the Auroras if they happen to be over West Glacier. We were very lucky to see them dancing over the backyard one night. This house has a fully stocked kitchen with everything labeled and has a fun game room in the garage which we enjoyed quite a bit. We also enjoyed the sunroom inside and the fire pit and hot tub in the backyard. The house also has a full-size washer and dryer in good condition and stocked with everything you need to do laundry if desired. The beds were extremely comfortable with plenty of pillows and down comforters. The master bathroom was updated nicely with a large walk-in shower with two shower heads, plenty of hot water, and no shortage of towels which was nice. Yumna was a very responsive host and was in touch regularly if we had any questions.

I can’t say that there was anything we did not like about the property. When we first arrived, we noticed the house did not have A/C, and we were concerned because we are from a warm climate and it was supposed to be unseasonably warm the week we were there. The house has large screened windows that open easily to cool the house in the evening and overnight which was perfect. Even though the temperatures were in the 80s during the daytime, at night time they got down into the 40s and 50s. Needless to say, we did not miss A/C at all.
