Dream pool views apartment close to the beach

Nice and clean apartment. It had pretty much anything you could need including washing machine which was useful. Though it did not have a hair dryer even though this was noted to be available in the listing. The apartment was about 10 minute from whatever restaurants and shops available (was not much around).

General communication was a bit hit and miss. Could take a week for them to respond to messages, and at times they would not respond at all. They asked for the payment a week in advance, including deposit, even though in the listing it stated payment on arrival. I also only had the option to pay via pay-pal which gave a really bad exchange rate compared to if I had paid with card. On arrival there was no one to meet us. They had sent access detail in the morning of our travels however as I had no access to internet I had not seen the email. There was a building maintenance guy who was very helpful and tried to assist (though he could not speak English). There was building work going on all around the apartment (back and front). When in the apartment with the door closed no bother, but it was a bit annoying when staying by the pool with the constant banging and loud shouting from the workers. Though to be fair, most of that area of Punta Cana is under construction, so pretty hard to find somewhere without building work as a neighbor. When we checked out we were informed someone would come and look at the apartment. No one turned up so we left and let them know. I never heard anything back from them after that. They also did not pay back my deposit even after having chased them. I had to get booking.com involved to get my deposit back.
