Ara Bela Duplex con jardin

Overall, we had a very nice stay at the Ara Bela apartment. Pilar who met us with the keys was so helpful and friendly. The view of the sea from the apartment is fantastic and everything was nice and clean. The lounge/kitchen are basically furnished, the nicest room being the main bedroom which has it's own balcony overlooking the sea. The pool area is really close to the flat and again was clean and well looked after (there are no parasols or beds so handy to take your own). The area is very nice and quiet too. Plenty of storage for clothes and the washing machine is downstairs in the cellar area. The property is at the top of a steep hill so wouldn't be suitable for people with any mobility issues.

Just a couple of things to be aware of before you book. As long as you know about these, they are manageable. The underground garage was too small for our car (another guest has mentioned this also). It was fine though as we always found a place on the street without problems. There isn't any air-conditioning in the second bedroom. In August this was an issue as the room was very hot- there are fans provided but in high summer it wasn't enough. My sons took it in turns to sleep on the sofa downstairs where there is air conditioning! You have to be careful not to use too many appliances at once as it trips the electricity. Pilar warned us about this when we arrived and showed us where the fuse box was outside so we were able to switched it back on easily the couple of times this happened. The kitchen utensils would benefit from upgrading as there wasn't a bread knife or wine glasses for example.
