Great location in a lovely neighbourhood close to everything you need. The owners are a lovely welcoming couple who can tell you about the city and do a great banana bread!

It was dead cheap. 😲 Only missing a perfect ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ score due to five vital, bonus, treat, indulgent things. #1 The 🪟 window in the room was mostly stuck closed and dirty, bar a few inches. I could not open it to let in the atmosphere behind the insect netting, not sure if it would have held up, who knows. #2 Applying the idea of circulating air, the room had neither a 🪟 window to open adequately nor an extractor fan to draught out the air that the AIRCON had been sucking in to create a fresh air flow for breathing, not a pressurised one. I may have developed a snotty nose because of it. Blowing in air is great but the air has to circulate out again to create 🫁 breathable air. #3 The breakfast 🥞🍳 should have been included or at a discounted rate. This should be thought through because the prices were way, way, way inflated for down town Phnom Penh. Someone, perhaps a previous tourist is trying to squeeze tourists again. #4 Usually at any given hotel, motel or bed & breakfast I would usually be accustomed to at least a cheap electric kettle accompanied by delicious instant 🍵 & ☕ with a selection of biscuits. (....like a lovely welcome 🤗.) One is fully aware that this may be too much to expect but at the very minimal, in a very hot country such as Cambodia, an ample amount of drinking 🚰 water 💦 should always be provided, especially if the place is remote or the shops are difficult to visit at night. Maybe tourists are infirm, thirsty yet failed to pack drinking water for let us say their hourly medication, this could be highly problematic where children or even babies are concerned, anyway it really all comes down to inconvenience and perhaps should be published, 'No 🚰 water will be provided in the room!' #5 Maybe there should be a side door 🚪 instead of having to go through The Bakery, I do not know, it was just well, too open plan, like everyone knew I was going out 😂 #6 The 🚿 🚽 is shared but was very convenient. #7 Cleaning is more relaxed the longer the stay but the daily rate stays the same, this is wrong, if the room and sheets are not cleaned frequently to a hygienic standard, the price should fall in relation to duration and lack of service. For example if I decided to stay a month the daily price should not stay at the one night premium rate but be reasonably discounted due to sparse or irregular cleaning services. It is only fair. Especially with no daily replacements.
