About this cottage rental
Wonderful rural cottage kept in the Berrichonne farm workers cottage style just 5 minutes drive from Saint Benoit Du Sault comprising of fitted kitchen with electric hob, oven, microwave and large fridge freezer plus a utility area with washing machine and ironing facilities. Dining room with dining table for 6. Large lounge with leather sofas, Freesat UK TV and radio channels (UK TV only) and DVD player, 3 large bedrooms (2 singles in one bedroom, one double and one king size), 2 cloakrooms and bathroom with bath and separate shower. Conservatory with rattan furniture looking over the fields and orchard at the back. Huge private garden with outdoor table and chairs, orchard with pears, peaches, blackcurrants, apples, walnuts and hazelnuts. Charcoal barbeque. For those colder nights there is a wood burning stove in the kitchen and infra red eco heat panels in all rooms.

We had a brilliant time in the cottage.
The location is exceptional with numerous lakes to swim in and villages to explore.
The outside space is really excellent with a huge garden, outdoor dining & fruit trees.
The owner was easy to contact & answered all our questions promptly.
The property decor is a little tired, but the space was fantastic with very large bedrooms full of character.

Just outside the historic Saint-Benoît-du-Sault is this comfortable house. The garden is great, with easy chairs and a barbecue, daily sights of deers in the woods and a great place to watch the stars on clear nights. The house is well equipped and the bedrooms are clean. We spent some lovely days hiking and canoeing in the neighbourhood. Owner responds very fast. Well recommended.

La Rouge Croix is a truely lovely house filled with character. It is remote enough for completely peaceful relaxation whilst being in easy driving distance of a well stocked supermarket and town filled with bakeries, butchers, cafés and antiques shops. The pool was a welcome addition to the spacious garden allowing us to cool down in the great weather. A couple of day trips to local towns were very simple due to the ease of access to the motorway.Andy, the owner, has been very helpful for local information and answered any questions promptly.We would highly recommend a stay in this beautiful place and hope to return next year.
