About this house rental
INSELKIEKER VACATION HOME. DORNUM-NESSMERSIEL. NORTH SEA.
The landscape flattens out. Fields and meadows roll by. North Sea air. You can smell it. You can taste it. You can feel it. You find peace. You’ve arrived.
Everything is ready and welcomes you, no matter the season, with the cozy feeling of being at home.
You park your car right next to the INSELKIEKER house. The charging station for your electric car is ready to go. Any bicycles you’ve brought along can be stored in the lockable bike shed.
Leave your rubber boots outside! Come on in and experience the pure joy of a vacation with the whole family.
Go on a tour of discovery. The interior design—thoughtfully planned and lovingly detailed—is designed to bring you joy. On the lower level of the house, you’ll find a bedroom, the spacious living-dining area with an open kitchen, the laundry room with a washer and dryer, a high chair, and a chest freezer, and right next door, the stylish bathroom with a walk-in shower.
Upstairs, you’ll find the master bedroom, complete with a home office workspace and a sturdy crib. Directly across from it is a paradise for the little ones, featuring two single beds, toys, a TV, and lovingly designed touches inspired by the underwater world.
There’s also a small shower room on this level.
The fully fenced property is perfectly suited for a vacation with a dog and children. The sandbox is located in an old rowboat. The large lawn is perfect for playing. If that’s not enough, there’s a large children’s playground with a basketball hoop within sight.
From here, you can reach the harbor of Nessmersiel by bike in about 5 minutes. There’s always something to see and do here. From the coastal playground and the ferry dock, you’ll always have a clear view of the North Sea and the islands of Baltrum and Norderney. On a clear day, you can even see Juist and Langeoog.
We’ve fallen in love at first sight with this small, quiet East Frisian coastal resort, located right on the Wadden Sea, an UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site. Mudflat hiking or swimming? You can do both here.
You have the option to book a linens package. The linens package includes: bed sheets, pillowcases, and duvet cover, 1 large towel, 2 small towels, 1 bath mat, and 2 kitchen towels. The cost is EUR 35.00 per person, including tax.

A very nice vacation home, tastefully furnished, with attention to detail. Excellent amenities—both the kitchen, with all its accessories, and the children’s room, which offers plenty of play options. We were completely satisfied! Comments: The blinds in the upper bedroom get stuck when lowering them; they should be checked. The paint on the boat in the garden is peeling, which poses a safety hazard when climbing onto the boat. It needs to be sanded down and repainted.
