About this house rental
Charming 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath home located in the historic seaside town of Rockport, MA. On a quiet side street, a short 5 min walk to Front Beach and 10 min walk to downtown ( Bearskin Neck). Steps away from Mill Pond park with beautiful gardens and playground. Rockport is known for its breathtaking seaside views, charming galleries, restaurants, unique shops and the incredible Shalin Liu Performance Arts center.
The train to Boston, historic Salem and Beverly is just a short walk away.
The house has an open and airy first floor with wood floors and lots of natural light. Newly furnished with fully stocked kitchen, dining room with table for 8 people (and can be extended to accommodate 10). Living room with 3 couches including one double sleeper sofa. High speed Wi-Fi and smart TV. Full bath on main floor with shower.
There is a sunny rear deck with 3 person couch, 2 chairs, gas grill and umbrella where you can glimpse the ocean. Perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening.
Front lawn has Adirondack Chairs, small tables, large umbrella and a fire pit. Perfect for family gatherings.
There are 2 bedrooms upstairs and a full bath with bathtub and shower.
Bedroom 1: King bed with high ceiling, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, desk, closet, 2 dressers and night tables.
Bedroom 2: 2 single beds (can be converted to a King), air-conditioning, ceiling fan, desk, closet, dresser and night table.
Bedroom 3 (lower level): 1 Queen bed, night table and half bath with a separate entrance.
Washer and dryer in the basement.
The house is air-conditioned, powered by solar panels.
Halibut Point State Park is only a 10 minute drive, where you can hike along scenic trails with breathtaking ocean views and explore the iconic Halibut Point Quarry.

We loved the house! The air conditioning worked well, although it wasn't needed very much since the weather was fabulous in September. Everything was very neat and clean. The location was a short easy walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. The kitchen had everything we needed. The flowers around the cottage were beautiful. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We had a fantastic week-long stay in Rockport at this VRBO. We were two grandparents, two parents and a 2 1/2 yr old grandson. The location was ideal; it was an easy walk to Front/Back Beaches, Brothers Brew for doughnuts, Bear Skin Neck for shopping and Milbrook Park for toddler exercise. The location encouraged a morning walk along the waterfront of Rockport's south side. Equally important, the house was perfect for our multi-generation configuration. The house was well-equipped from kitchen/cooking essentials to bathroom amenities. The AC worked well -- even when the temperature hit 100 degrees. Ann and Jon were great hosts; easy to communicate with and responsive to our questions (they even brought over extra toddler toys). Honestly a 5 star stay in a 5 star location with great VRBO hosts. Hope to repeat this in the future.
