About this house rental

This beautifully converted Georgian coach house is located next to the 14th century church, close to the village green and a short stroll from Banningham Crown, our award-winning, dog-friendly village pub with a great selection of local ales and lovely garden.

The Coach House is very dog friendly and we like to pamper our guests' pooches by providing items to use during their stay to make the holiday easy and relaxing, such as

Water/feed bowls, feeding mat, leads, treats, toys, crates, holiday tags, poo bags/bins, towels, sofa throws and much more. We also provide information on the best dog friendly walks, beaches, restaurants etc so that you can make the most of your stay.

The Coach House is in a great location with easy access to beautiful beaches, the Broads and Norwich and offers a real escape from it all.

Reclaimed exposed timber beams, a secluded, walled south facing lawn and expansive outside seating area make this a perfect location to sit back, relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. The ideal base for your Norfolk adventure.

The main access into The Coach House is via the Games Room which houses the table football, additional television and slouchy beanbags for children to chill out on. There is a downstairs cloakroom and large cupboard to house outdoor coats, buckets and spades, crabbing equipment etc. There is also access to the first floor Barn Bedroom via the second staircase. Both staircases have doors at ground floor level so access to the first floor can be controlled.

The spacious sitting room has an inglenook fireplace and woodburner plus direct access to the terrace outside. Three 2 seater sofas and large coffee table form a sociable and relaxing entertaining area for friends and family to enjoy. There is a large screen TV, DVD player and selection of family friendlygames and puzzles. WiFi is superfast and available in every room of the house.

There is a large, open plan kitchen/dining area with a dining table for six guests and enough pots, pans and other equipment to make you feel right at home! Light fills the room via the French door which opens onto the terraced dining area with large teak table for al fresco summer dining. There is a barbecue and the lawn has reclining chairs for early evening cocktails or lazy Sunday mornings.

Upstairs there are three very spacious bedrooms all with king-size Hypnos beds and each bedroom has its own shower or bath room. The master bedroom is vast and has a beautiful en suite shower room. The Church Bedroom has pretty views of the 14th century church tower - but don't worry there are no bells rung! The Barn Bedroom can be converted to two single beds on request. All of the beds have crisp white sheets and we supply fluffy white towels and complimentary toiletries.

We also supply a comprehensive welcome hamper so that you can relax the moment you arrive. Your holiday can start straight away with a cup of tea and piece of home-made cake, or something stronger if you prefer!

Our second visit to The Coach House which once again provided us with a wonderful place to stay in this beautiful part of the country. Serena the owner goes above and beyond to make sure everything you need is there and responds to any messages/queries promptly. We were a group of six of six adults, a toddler (so three generations ) and a dog, The Coach House has lots of space, a fantastic level garden (great sunset views) we also loved that all the downstairs rooms have doors opening onto the garden, very welcome especially if the weather is warm like it was. Nearby restaurant - ‘The Gunton Arms’ comes highly recommended and did not disappoint. Also the sister pub/restaurant ‘The Suffield Arms’ is definitely worth a visit. Lots of stunning coastline - Happisburgh beach is a favourite. Nearby Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall (both national trust) worth visiting (walled garden at Felbrigg is stunning). So you definitely won’t be disappointed - thank you Serena.

We had a wonderful stay at the Coach House in Norfolk for our daughter’s 30th birthday. It made it even more special as it was dog friendly too. The cottage was clean, cosy and equipped with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect and very peaceful and relaxing whilst still being close to lovely towns and villages and coastal walks. We couldn’t fault Serena the host as she was very responsive to our issues and needs. A couple of teething problems arose and Serena dealt with them quickly and efficiently even with it being a bank holiday weekend and plumbers being difficult to get hold of! We would highly recommend this cottage and would happily stay again.

We had a good week with our dogs, two of which are getting on a bit now, helped enormously by decent weather. Whilst there are limited suitable off-road dog walks in the village (which is the only reason for slightly downscaling the location), it was easy to take them in the car to a wide variety of excellent dog walking venues, including NT properties, a number of beaches and the Weavers way. The cottage itself met our needs perfectly and we were impressed with the thoughtful provision of items to make our (humans and dogs) stay comfortable. The cottage is very convenient for the village pub where we enjoyed good meals on two occasions. We certainly plan to return at some point.

The Coach House was perfect for our family get together, warm, comfortable and full of character. The hosts couldn't be more welcoming and also provided a welcome hamper. Totally dog friendly. Beautiful village pub just around the corner which serves excellent food. Just what we needed and we would highly recommend.
