A car is recommended for exploring Island Park and nearby Yellowstone. The lodge offers ample parking, and most attractions are just a short drive away.
The two closest major airports are Bozeman, MT and Idaho Falls, Idaho. There is also a small West Yellowstone Airport.
*Roads are maintained but wind & snow during the Fall, Winter and Spring can be unpredictable. We HIGHLY recommend an AWD vehicle if traveling during these seasons.

The house was beautiful, well decorated and beautiful views. The upstairs beds in this house are not comfortable. For the amount paid, the single room was impossible to sleep in and don't even try the pull out couch. The kitchen also needs to be organized and the white towels should be replaced.

Loved this place! We got lots of use out of the kitchen, well stocked with cookware/appliances/utensils. Views of mountains were spectacular through the big windows especially during sunrise. Very close to West Yellowstone. Be sure to bring chains/AWD if going when there is snow, the driveway is steep and gets very slushy/icy!
