About this cottage rental
A romantic place in a nature reservation just 45 minutes to the centre of Prague. Available by train, car or bus. Close to beautiful riverside, a quite place in trees with few no neigbours in winter and only few neighbours in season, you can stay here very much alone. Best for retreat, walks, meditation, tramping, in spring canoying or just staying with your partner in peace of nature. Easy life with small town Davle or Jílové within 5 km. Walk, by train or bus, also with connections to Prague.
Our wooden cabin is lost in a beautiful natural reservation quite near to Prague.
It is a simple hut originaly build in the 1930s (and rebuild after a fire in 2018). Originaly the hut was build by a romantic tramping movement looking for deep touch with the nature. During the dark times of socialism in Czechoslovakia such places were a perfect escape from the harsh reality.
You can enjoy the surrounding nature reservation and the Sazava river valley - walking and canoeing when there is water. For meditation, clearing head or breathing, just simle being. Being lost, but not far from civilisation.
However simple the place is, there is everything you may need - an electricity, bed and fireplace to cook and heat inside, small fridge. You can also cook with the gas ring when you are not in the mood to light the fire in summer. Thera are all basic for cooking and staying.
Dry toilet and "shower" is outside the cabin, just as that simple living we apretiate and don't have so much opportunities to try.
The best fit is for 2 people.
You can travel here by car or by train from Prague by the famous Sázava Pacific Rail. The train takes about 45 minutes from main station in the centre of Prague. We can pick you up when you are coming by train.
Shopping, restaurants, post office, bankomats, you can find in close small towns Davle and Jílové on the other side, both within 5 km.
For small kids this will not be the perfect and best place.
The very near surrounding has a deep hillside down. However, there were thousands of kids being raised in this countryside without any harm :)) Perfect for some adventure of fathers and sons to introduce them in a nature living.
There is also no fence at the terace and around the cottage.
