Penthouse Apartment

We stayed for 3 nights, and these apartments were simply incredible. They added so much atmosphere to our trip that we enjoyed Bergen even when we were just relaxing at home. The view from the window is absolutely breathtaking overlooking the city and the bay. Because the weather changes so quickly in Bergen, the view looks different every day, almost like a live TV screen. We could spend hours just sitting in the warmth of the apartment and watching yachts, ferries, ships, and boats passing by. The apartment has absolutely everything you could need for cooking. There are even vegetable slicers, a measuring cup, convenient baking dishes, a dishwasher, and so much more. We really enjoyed cooking meals with local ingredients and having cozy evenings at home. The city center is within walking distance, it took us around 30 minutes, with a moderate uphill walk. There are grocery stores nearby, and hiking trails are also within walking distance. We discovered some beautiful trails with an amazing open viewpoint where we barely saw anyone, as well as incredible mountain forests and lakes. The host was also fantastic, very kind, responsive, and helpful. We had an issue with the internet on our first day, but it was fixed remotely very quickly, and we had no problems after that. For some guests, the steep stairs and the fact that the apartment is on the 4th floor with no elevator might be a downside, but it didn’t bother us at all. We had also read previous reviews mentioning that it’s an attic apartment with sloped ceilings. At 165 cm tall, I found it completely comfortable. A huge thank you for such a wonderful apartment and for making our stay in Bergen even more special. We truly hope to come back one day!

- stinkendes Treppenhaus (Nachbar hat seine stinkenden Schuhe und Müll im Treppenhaus) - Laute und störende, basslastige “Musik” (Rap/HipHop) die GANZE Nacht!!!! Zum Glück von unseren 2 Nächten nur 1 Nacht, kommt aber anscheinend öfters vor..

There was hairdryer, towel, big TV with Netflix, view from balcony could be good if no raining at all

- all day was raining so there was nothing much to see in the balcony nor sunsets nor sunrises. -no lift and a lot of stairs to go up on the third floor plus one more level after the door of the apartment so even cabin trolley bag was difficult to bring it up. -The neighbour is almost 24 hours playing the music loud like having party, we barely couldn’t sleep at night till morning. -there was no shampoo eventhough we had already requested. -no umbrella inside the apartment which we can borrow -always be careful with the head because the ceiling is triangular you may hit your head many times. - when we took showers all the bathroom floors was wet because there was no curtains and the inclinations of the floor not good for the water to go down so it’s spilled everywhere so the floors totally wet, the water from showers spilled out everywhere in the bathroom. - the windows only could open 100% or 0% no middle way. - the windows doesn’t have bugs net so anytime you open the window a lot of bugs or bees comes inside to the apartment. - the key box was even more challenging to get out key apartment - the owner didn’t really fast respond if we have problems
