Hotel Fewa Boutique

Stunning building and beautiful archetectural detail and craftmanship. I felt like I was living in a summer palace. The guests seemed to be locals and other Nepali, rather than foreign tourists (I am a visitor, not a local. I appreciated the local cultural experience) The staff and the restaurant: top notch! I enjoyed room service. The food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented whether in the room or restaurant. Generous portions and great variety. The air conditioning was efficient and silent! (June: Outside was hot and humid, and the AC made a huge difference!) The panoramic views from my balcony were amazing! Private bath. Staff on hand. Seems like a family business: personalized and very friendly and accommodating. English spoken. Great value! I am so fortunate to have been there!

No storage! Zero! Adding a hook, cabinet, shelf or rack would make a huge difference. Noisy! The hotel is on a busy street. There is an active nightlife nearby. The step up to the bathroom (typical) is a challenge — a small removable step might be a valuable option for foreign, physically limited, or aged visitors. I did not realize there was no elevator ( that’s on me) However, the stairways are wide and spacious, which is nice. My private balcony adjoined a public balcony/ outdoor seating area: even quiet conversations carried over. (The building is all hard surfaces, so noise is not buffered)
