LIOZ Hotel & Apartments

The location is fantastic, close to the hustle and bustle of most of the places you’d want to go to, while offering a peaceful escape. The rooms are modern, airy and clean. Monica at the reception desk was incredible - I accidentally reserved the wrong room and she helped me fix my error with kindness and grace, and with full empathy for the fact that I had just arrived after a very long overnight trip.

Would maybe change the coffee makers to something that allows guests to buy their own coffee.

If you have the one bedroom apartment or the deluxe one bedroom apartment with the balconies on the first floor (apartments 11/12) you will continually feel the bass in your feet and into your bed from the music in Resturant underneath, this very loud from 8am till 8pm. But first you will hear them put out the table and chairs from 6.30/7am. It’s impossible to relax in your apartments in the morning. When you are in a hot city that can reach 35 to 40° I like to come back to my apartment and sleep at the peak hour of the day, As I’ve been around the city in the morning, avoiding the peak hour temperature and then go back out to enjoy the night. If you want to come back to this apartment and rest for an hour or two, maybe even sleep you can forget about it. It is impossible with the continuous banging from the restaurant below. The restaurant below is attached to the hotel and you can even hear the banging and the music travelling right up to floor 7 of the hotel. I personally went down to reception to ask if they can turn the bass off (not the music) they listen for two hours and then whacked it right up again. Yes the staff helped but I found this beyond irritating to keep asking and asking. I must of requested the staff of the hotel at least four times to ask the Resturant to stop turning the bass back up. At night time, the Aircon is quite noisy Even when you put it on the lowest setting. I have also noticed the council here have planted an about 20 immature trees that are 10 feet apart from each other that will eventually grow upwards and upwards to be 50 foot plus height like the pictures show the mature tree size. I don’t know who’s bright Idea this was because this means in 2 to 3 years these apartments will not have Seaview any longer and it will just be tree views. People come here to see the sea it’s bad enough that there is a main road in front of the hotel but to severely restrict deceive you if you are on floor 1-5 is ridiculous.

Lioz has been exceptionally rebuilt and converted with a great attention to detail. We had a very large 1 bed apartment that felt at home straight away. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very quiet and the beds super comfortable. We will be back next time we are in Lisbon!
