Charming lakefront barndominium 2 bedrooms and WiFi, AC in fabulous Rainbow Lake

Outstanding setting, location and accommodations. Felt like home. The space was the perfect size for myself, my spouse and our son. Could have fit another kid comfortably. The bedrooms and living space were very comfortable, well decorated, well maintained and clean. Our son loved the bunk bed. Having access to a full kitchen with range, fridge, dishwasher, island and ample dishes, glassware and utensils was a bonus - we cooked all our meals. All the appliances were newer, clean and in great shape. Rainbow Lake was so quiet and peaceful. We kayaked for several hours on a holiday weekend and saw virtually no boat traffic. Close enough to take advantage of Saranac Lake, Lake Placid, Paul Smith's VIC and High Peaks hiking, but far enough away to avoid the tourist traffic. Suzanne was a very gracious, accommodating and responsive host. It was nice to have access to kayaks and canoes. All-in-all we couldn't have been more pleased with our choice.

This is one of the best equipped rentals I have stayed at. Our hosts were so thoughtful and responsive - loved the fresh coffee and other snacks! The location is beautiful and is perfect if you're looking for something a little off the beaten path.Hope to stay here again!

This was a lovely, comfortable place to stay. The hostess was very accommodating for our needs. The place was very comfortable and everything seemed new, in good shape, very clean. The kitchen was small but had everything we needed. We enjoyed eating on the deck. We really liked going down to the private dock with our breakfast in the morning to watch for the loons. There was a wonderful 180 degree view of Rainbow Lake. It was good having the air conditioning in the bedroom.
