Stay in Skardu

Saqlain Bhai was an exceptional host , very kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. He made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay and gave us great local recommendations. The place was clean, peaceful, and offered beautiful views, making our stay in Skardu truly memorable.

We booked our stay with Saqlain Bhai. Due to his previous guests extending their stay, there was a small change in the arrangement, but he made sure we did not face any inconvenience and arranged our stay at Decent Guest House. The guest house is located near Baltistan Resorts, with markets nearby and a beautiful view. It offers great value for money. Don’t expect luxury hotel-style room service, but if you are comfortable with a more homely setup, it is a great option. You can use the kitchen, order breakfast, and enjoy a more relaxed stay. The highlight for us was the beautiful garden with fresh cherry trees and fruits — it was such a lovely experience. A special thanks to Saqlain Bhai for making sure everything was arranged smoothly. Also, thanks to Aslam Bhai (owner) and Aarif (manager) at Decent Guest House for being so cooperative and taking care of everything we needed, including hot water, breakfast, and overall comfort. For anyone looking for a comfortable, peaceful, and value-for-money stay in Skardu, I would highly recommend this place.

One area that could be improved is the room service and cleanliness. However, keeping in mind that this was an economical stay, our expectations were realistic. With a little improvement in these areas, it could become an even better experience for guests. Overall, considering the location, hospitality, beautiful surroundings, and value for money, we had a good experience and would recommend it for travelers looking for a comfortable and affordable stay.

We loved the hospitality of the owner. The place was very cozy and felt like home. We loved the location of the place being very near to facilities like market, petrol pump, car wash, launderer etc. The place had a food delivery service too which was a bonus which was not found in several places during the journey and stay to skardu. The view from the balcony was also quite mesmerizing. They also had arrangements for when there was electricity outage via solar. Which we did not find in several places throughout our journey and stay in other places. Additionaly they also had attached private washroom too which is not mentioned in the listing yet. Also the room and washroom were quite spacious. Overall value to money was exceptional and more than expected. Highly suggested place to stay
