Homely Stay Grand Living - 5BR Terrace House with garden

My family and I received more rooms than expected for a "Two Bedroom" house. My family made the most of the space throughout the house as we prepared for our family move from Germany to the United States.

The amount I paid for this lodging was with the expectation of having air conditioning in this house, especially since I have a family member who suffers from a medical condition and a heat and humid house is not good for her health. Instead, my air conditioning consisted of opening the windows and asking fellow church patrons to bring me fans to help combat the heat. There was no air conditioning at all during our two week stay at this house. I addressed the issue within hours of accepting the keys to the house. I was told to open the windows to air out the house, but this did nothing except to allow flies to enter the house. The windows remained opened during our entire two-week stay. The homeowner finally came to the house three days before we were to leave to "adjust" the home thermostat from 22 degrees Celsius down by a degree. I could have save over 900 Euro and stayed someplace else that did not advertise air conditioning. There was no offer made to compensate me or my family for the lack of air conditioning in this house. The recycle bin remained full to capacity during our entire two-week stay. To prevent recycling bags from accumulating in the house, especially since we had flies entering the house due to the non-existent air conditioning system, I had to take our recycling to the recycle center. The recycle bin was filled to capacity when my family and I arrived, and it remained that way until we left. There was no recycle service during the two weeks we were there.
