    Location: very good. city center, most eateries are within walkable distance. Staff: very cooperative. Room: clean room as it's only 1 year old hotel. We got mountain view room. Food: complimentary breakfast(limited options), this hotel currently doesn't have their own kitchen.

    I stayed in Hunkal stay for one night and it is amazing. Rooms were clean and tidy. I have booked suit room and did not expect such big rooms and hall. It has dining table sofa big bed and clean washrooms. Limited breakfast is provided and it is tasty and sufficient. It is in Chikmagalur centre and near to market. Overall the stay is very good and exceeded my expectations.

    Hunkal stays in Chikmagalur is a decent place for short stays. We had booked the suite, which was huge enough for 2-3 people. The place was on the 3rd floor, clean and faced the front street. It has a kitchen island with coffee maker, basin and water purifier, which I liked as we did not have to bother the staff for water bottles. The room had 2 smart TVs, 1 in the hall and 1 in the bedroom. The hotel is very centrally located with MG Road and KSRTC bus stand just 2 mins walk away. The hotel does not have its own restaurant, but there are lot of eateries at walking distances, plus you can order food through Swiggy/Zomato. The staff is very pleasant, helpful, and attentive. The front desk staff helped us arrange for a cab and rick for our sight seeing and for our drop to the airport. The only problem we faced was that hand washing soap near the basin was missing, and when we asked for it they refused saying that they do not provide that, which we felt odd as people do need a separate soap at the basin for variety of reasons. Also there was no mini refrigerator in the room. They provide fix breakfast in the morning, which was ok, but I would suggest to explore local joints for breakfast, which are not far from the hotel. All-in-all we had a decent 2-day stay and would recommend the hotel for group of friends and families.
