Stylish Lumbung in the heart of Uluwatu

Love tranquil setting, far from the traffic, which becomes just background noise. Comfortable lumbung, private courtyard, comfy swing seat. The swimming pool is great to relax into in the afternoon.

As usually for Bali, the hosts were above and beyond - very helpful and kind, ready to advise you on any question you might have. The villa had a consistent traditional style on all 2 floors, the bed was comfy and I had a good rest on it. The kitchen was well equipped so in case you want to prepare something not too fancy it was enough. The pool is OK for chilling and cooling down, but you can not perform swimming marathons in it :) It fits nicely a couple that wants a quiet, a bit remote place and is not into parties, because I saw at the premise people that were doing yoga, chilling by the pool and also families with children.

The cleaning was only once a week, but I had the feeling that is not enough - at least once at 2-3 days would have been perfect. The bathroom had gecko and little funny frogs in it - I find it lovely and there is noting bad in it since the proximity of the villa to the forest, but in case you are not like me it might be discomfort. The location is OK only if you have a bike/car or use grab/gojek services, since it is a bit remote in a forest area, otherwise you have to walk about 1.2 km to get to the the main road and all the dining/party places.

Die Unterkunft ist so wie auf den Bildern und dem Inserat beschrieben. Schöne Unterkunft, wo man alles hat, was man braucht. Vor allem groß und geräumig mit einem offenen größen Bad. Ruhige Anlage mit sehr höflichen und hilsbereiten Personal. Tolle kleine Poolanlage. Gute Lage, da nicht direkt im Zentrum, aber in 3 Minuten ist man in der belebten Gegend mit vielen Restaurants und Cafes und man gelangt auch schnell zu den Stränden.

Die Klimanalage funktionierte nicht so gut. Das Problem konnte während unseren Aufenthaltes nicht direkt gelöst werden, aber sie arbeiten daran. Als Entgegekommen, haben wir eine kostenlose Massage erhalten. Denke, dass die nächsten Gäste es dann wieder etwas kühler haben werden.

The location was reasonable, about 4 minutes scooter ride to the shops. The staff at check-in was lovely. The hammock on the balcony and design of the place are lovely.

The gas stove and kettle didn't work, told the staff and nothing was done or more questions asked to try to help. I actually spoke to them in Bahasa too. The mattress makes squeaky noise when you climb in, toss or move. Not recommended if you cant climb steep stairs or have heavy suitcases, as you will need help carry them up the steep stairs. My husband and I managed them ok. If you're a light sleeper, this may not suit you as the sound of frogs at night may keep you up.
