Elegant One-Bedroom Apartment with Sea Views

Positiv hervorzuheben ist definitiv die wunderschöne Aussicht – ein echter Wow-Faktor. Auch das Apartment selbst ist großzügig geschnitten, und die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet, sodass man sich grundsätzlich wohlfühlen kann. Lage für Shopping-Fans ist hervorragend: Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind praktisch rund um die Uhr verfügbar.

Erstens: Das Zimmer verfügte über eine Verbindungstür zu einem Nachbarzimmer, was vorab weder auf Booking noch in der Beschreibung klar ersichtlich war. Die Geräuschübertragung war dadurch sehr stark – Gespräche und alltägliche Geräusche aus dem Nebenzimmer waren deutlich hörbar, was die Privatsphäre erheblich eingeschränkt hat. Zweitens: Der Zugang zum Sauna- und Wellnessbereich ist nur eingeschränkt möglich (zwischen 08:00 und 12:00 Uhr) und erfordert zusätzlich eine Reservierung am Vortag. Diese Information wurde uns vor Ort trotz Nachfrage nach dem Weg nicht mitgeteilt. Dadurch war eine Nutzung für uns nicht mehr möglich, was enttäuschend war. Zusätzlich ist der Weg dorthin unnötig kompliziert beschrieben (über Parkgarage etc.), obwohl sich der Bereich im Melia-Hotel befindet. Ein weiterer Punkt: Die Wände im Apartment waren teilweise stark abgenutzt (vermutlich durch frühere Gäste, die etwas befestigt hatten), was den Gesamteindruck etwas schmälert.

The view from the apartment/ balcony on the 20th floor is amazing. It is on the north side of Mercury Tower. At the end of October this meant that there was never really any sun on it but we didn’t mind this at all as the view to the north is so much nicer than the one to the south. You can push open two thirds of the doors, so you really feel as if you are outside when in the apartment. Amazing! The interior design is stylish and there is more than enough storage space for clothes and luggage. The kitchen was sufficiently equipped. A “starter kit” with coffee, tea, coffee cream, water (tap water is not drinkable) and a bottle of wine was there. Also tabs for the dishwasher and the washing machine are there. On the 11th floor there is a small pool facing the south. You can go there for free as often as you want during its opening hours. There are six sun loungers. It really is a small place. The roof top bar on the 32nd floor offers an even better view and delicious cocktails. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay even though the atmosphere of the building is somehow soulless and too pretentious for us. It’s all about the view!!

The biggest drawback was the thin sliding door between our apartment and the neighboring one. Of course, it was locked but not sound proof at all. During the day we didn’t mind much when being in the living room/kitchen and it was also okay in the bedroom at night (though this door needs to be fixed as it does not close properly) but if someone needs to sleep on the convertible sofa their night might be over sooner than planned depending on the neighbors… First, there was a toddler for some days who woke up very early each morning and either talked happily or had tantrums (okay… kids…) but then they were two or three drunk men who started singing at four in the morning when they came home from partying (remember the apartment is RIGHT in the heart of Paceville). My family took turns in using the sofa bed so that we shared the burden. We usually go camping, so we don’t mind neighboring noise but for an apartment like this, this situation really is a no-go!! It must be at least mentioned in the description. Unfortunately, when it is windy, you can hear the wind making strange noises in some pipers (?) or the ventilation system (?) at night which added to the sounds from the neighboring apartment and disturbed my sleep. The pool on the 32nd floor closed at the end of September. When I had booked the apartment in spring I had specifically asked if it would be open and received a positive reply. There was no information before our arrival that it would be closed. When we visited the rooftop bar, we noticed that the pool is actually very small and wondered if anyone would like to sunbathe and swim in a bar/restaurant anyway (but it is really nice to look at, though). We didn’t like that you can not go up to the bar on your own but must arrange this down at the reception. It is 20 euros per person for which you receive a ticket for a cocktail. Check beforehand how it is done when the pool is open.

L’hôtel est très bien placé et dispose de tout les équipements. Il y’a également une piscine avec une très belle vue mais souvent complet malheureusement il faut aller très tôt le matin.

Le premier inconvénient c’est qu’on entend trop la chambre voisine car les deux chambres sont uniquement séparées par une porte coulissante. Le deuxième inconvénient c’est que le parking est payant.

A kilátás lenyűgöző 😉 Monumentális épület, ajánlom mindenkinek. Központi rendszerrel működik a fűtés, de nem volt bekapcsolva, kicsit hűvös volt, de kibírható.
