About this house rental
This waterfront, 4-bedroom (plus loft), 4 bath house in Eastport has been completely renovated by the new owners.
The fully equipped kitchen has all new appliances, new cabinets and quartz counter tops along with a coffee bar. With windows facing the water, cooking has never been so relaxing!
The bright, spacious living room has a wall of windows to enjoy the view of the Canadian Maritime islands while experiencing the 20-25' rise and fall of the tide.
The brick portion of the house (which used to be the office of The Riviera Canning Company) includes a large master suite with a king bed, ceiling fan and full bathroom with walk-in shower. Just off the living area is a second bedroom with king bed, ceiling fan and full bathroom with walk-in shower.
Next to the kitchen, enjoy meals or games in the dining area that includes a built in bench and seating for eight.
New for 2026 is an addition with a bedroom with queen bed, ceiling fan and full bathroom just outside the door.
Upstairs, there is a bedroom with a new king bed and ceiling fan just off of the loft. The bathroom upstairs has a walk-in shower as well.
Grab a cup of coffee and watch the sun come up from the new wrap around deck (just finished!) in the Easternmost city in the USA. The deck is where you could sit all day watching Eagles perch on Clark's Ledge or whales coming and going with the tide. You will see evidence of the areas largest tidal range as Clark's Ledge appears and disappears twice a day. Grab one of the cozy throw blankets and a glass of wine for stargazing on clear nights.
If you can pry yourself away from the deck, historical downtown Eastport is just a short 1/2 mile walk to the shops, galleries and restaurants.

We have stayed in VRBOs literally all over the USA and Europe. I don’t think we have ever stayed in a one we enjoyed more. All of us are over 75, and we wanted a relaxing vacation week. This house has a porch and giant picture windows which overlook a beautiful bay. We sat and watched sunrises, sunsets, birds and animals. We did not see whales from the shore but did on a whaling boat from Lubec.Eastbay has many nice shops and a number of excellent restaurants are within easy driving distance in Eastbay, Lubec, Calais, and Machias. We had lots of good lobster rolls but the best was in St. Andrew’s, Canada which is fun to see and get to.Also the landlord could not have been more helpful and gave us a long list of very excellent hikes which were not too long for us but very lovely. The house is very family-friendly. Good kitchen and three excellent bedrooms. There is one upstairs which would be an excellent place for kids if you have them. The two downstairs both have king-size beds and excellent en suite bathrooms. I cannot recommend this place more. Just please do not schedule it up before we reschedule.
