We really enjoyed our stay overall, and there were several things that stood out in a positive way. The location was excellent, with plenty of restaurants within a 10–20 minute drive and many beautiful waterfalls and attractions only 20–30 minutes away. The property itself is very private, peaceful, and beautifully decorated. Aesthetically, it is lovely and creates a unique experience. The host was also incredibly kind, attentive, and accommodating. Whenever we needed assistance or requested something, she was quick to respond and very helpful, so we truly have no complaints regarding her hospitality.

That said, I do think there are a few areas that could be improved to make the stay more comfortable. The property is made from a shipping container, and previous reviews were absolutely correct in mentioning how hot it gets inside during the day. There is no air conditioning, and you are mainly relying on a fan. We requested a second fan, which the host kindly provided, but even then, the heat and humidity inside the container were very intense. We are from Miami and are used to hot, humid weather, but during the daytime the interior became almost unbearable and felt somewhat suffocating. If you plan to spend your days exploring and only return to sleep at night, you may be perfectly fine, as temperatures are cooler in the evening. However, if you intend to spend much time indoors during the day, comfort may be an issue. Having air conditioning or adding mosquito screens to the windows and doors would make a huge difference. There is a nice outdoor breeze, but because there are no screens and many insects outside, opening the doors and windows wasn’t really an option. Another issue we encountered was with the shower. The glass partition intended to keep water from splashing out is not very effective, so water frequently leaked onto the bathroom floor while showering. We had to constantly dry the floor, and the host was kind enough to come by twice during our stay to help with this. We also appreciated having access to laundry facilities, but guests should know that the washer and dryer are not the conventional machines many people may be used to. The process is more manual, and the dryer is small and works more like an air dryer. Clothes need to be dried in small batches, and even then, many items still need to be hung outside to finish drying. It works, but it requires much more time and effort than a standard washer and dryer setup.
