Macadamia Boutique Living

We had a lovely two night stay at the Macadamia before departing on a short side trip. Our stay was so impressive that we cancelled a four night stay at another lovely hotel and rebooked the Macadamia for the following week. That says it all. The staff is very nice and welcoming. The room is cozy and clean. The garden is just splendid. Would love to go back to Macadamia!

The garden is something to see for yourself, and I had a wonderful time taking breakfast on the terrace facing it. I engaged with the host, Anita, whose love for gardening was evident. The staff were also welcoming, and I enjoyed my stay there. I will come back, and I would highly recommend the place.

Neu eröffnetes und stilvoll eingerichtetes, sehr sauberes Boutique B&B an einem ruhigen Fleck in Nairobi mit wunderschönem Garten. Wir wurden sehr herzlich betreut und haben uns eigentlich sehr wohl gefühlt.

Leider wurde unser Aufenthalt von einer sehr unprofessionellen und fast schon betrügerischen Abrechnung verschiedener Zusatzleistungen getrübt. Für Taxifahrten, die in Nairobi wenige Dollar kosten, wurde uns ein Vielfaches berechnet und bei der Umrechnung von Schilling auf Dollar nochmal über die Maßen aufgeschlagen. Nachdem ich das bemängelte, wurde mir mitgeteilt, dass man sich verrechnet hätte und eine Rückzahlung eines (zu) kleinen Betrages zugesichert. Leider wurde diese Rückzahlung aber nicht veranlasst und mein Kontakt stattdessen sogar geblockt. Das ist kein fairer Umgang mit Gästen und sehr, sehr schade!
