Lovely rural location with amazing country views, very homely and well equipped with everything we needed. Dog friendly element was perfect and provided towels bowls etc and secure garden was comforting knowing our dog could roam free. We were also had some of the local milk when we arrived.

Everything was perfect, though the downstairs sofa could have been a bit more comfortable.

Tolerable and disappointing

Located in a very special part of Arran.

We made the most of our time using it as a base to explore the island. Overall, we found the place quite 'dark and oppressive' - the frosted windows in living area and kitchen make the downstairs very dark. We were helped by sunny weather and Wimbledon, which we ended up watching through our lap top as TV lacks connectivity. The name 'View' in the title is misleading - the only view is from the upstairs windows. The property is full of 'Do's' and 'Don't' instructions and the welcome pack starts with a lengthy legal agreement that host insists is signed! Perhaps they have had a bad experience with dog owners - it all just put my wife on edge.
