the unit was in an excellent location for us, close to our family and less than 10 min from downtown Chicago. We had no parking issues at all- perfect space for the party we had within the unit itself.

did have some scuffing on the walls and previsously done and repaired damage. I'd say there were some asthetics concerns- the shared entry way of the building was messy but each room was clean.

We stayed here for two weeks in early March with three adults and couldn't have been happier. The space is brand new, beautifully decorated, and surprisingly spacious — three bedrooms and two full bathrooms meant nobody was ever tripping over each other. The fully equipped kitchen was a huge bonus for a longer stay, and the free street parking made exploring Chicago so much easier. Bronzeville is a fantastic neighborhood — quiet and residential in the evenings but with quick access to downtown, the Field Museum, and the lakefront. The CTA stop nearby made it easy to get around without a car when we felt like it. Check-in was seamless and the 24/7 support from the hosts was reassuring. For a group stay of any length, this is outstanding value. We'll definitely be back!

My cousins and I traveled to Chicago to celebrate my 61st birthday and this urban retreat is just what we needed. The staff was very responsive, helpful, and professional. Very cozy atmosphere with a homelike feel. Great bonding experience since I live in Virginia and they came from Mississippi. Loved the location. Quiet neighborhood but Uber worked when we needed it. Near Hyde Park and downtown. It was 5 of us and the 3 bedrooms worked out perfectly. We would definitely recommend the Gilean Urban Retreat.

Not a dislike at all and surely wasn't a problem but the bathroom inside knob is not secure.
