Bijou

Our stay at bijou was great. This was our second stay. Kylies communication was great and we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and tea and coffee supplied. It was also very clean. We had our nephew in tow and Kylie supplied a bed guard for the bottom bunk which was great. The apartment is on the small side but this was clearly started before booking so isn't a surprise. The location is fab and right above the beach and a 10 minute walk to town. We know St Ives and parking is an issue, Kylie has as very helpful in her information in locating public parking. Well priced for location we will return

The property was lovely. We didnt find it too small as other reviews suggested. It was beautifully clean and smelt lovely our entire stay. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of utensils, cutlery, cooking equipment such as trays and pans. We found we had no signal in the apartment but the wifi worked well in all areas. Kylie was very easy to communicate with also.

The parking was a real issue for us. We knew the property stated no parking which was fine but we had to park in the Trenwith Car Park at the very top of town which was a 20 minute uphill walk from the accommodation. Dropping off the luggage also proved difficult, the road is very narrow with cars parked long one side and no turning place so youd have to be lucky to find a space on the parking side to turn around in! We also couldn’t get the door out of the double bedroom to lock, it was unlocked when we arrived and we couldn’t get it to lock the rest of our stay. The door wqs set up so that there was a chair infront of it and the slatted blinds were through the handle but it did make us feel a little uncomfortable especially as there is main road access through the back of the property too. Other than that that everything was perfect.

Location and value for money . And has a body board to use !

Matress cover stains. (Needed a wash ) however bedding was faded bur all clean . Bathroom dated but clean. Excellent hosts good value and bed comfortable . Would return.

It was a nice apartment with everything you needed

On arrival the apartment smelt a little musty like damp - with lots of air fresheners trying to cover the smell However to be fair once we had the heaters on and opened windows it did wear off The lights in the hallway / landing did not come on in an evening ( couldn’t find a switch anywhere ? ) which was quite dark having to use my phone torch
