Mooi oud landhuis en een bijzondere tuin, the secret garden of Richmond.
Zeer gastvrije eigenaar.
Op loopafstand van centrum en rivier, pubs en winkels.
Het onderhoud. Deze geweldige plek kan wel een opknapbeurt gebruiken.

The owner was very friendly and welcoming. The room was large and comfortable. Lots of potential at this property and the grounds were beautiful. I would have loved to explore the whole house. The kitchen in my area was well equipped.
The property was in need of some more renovations and a deep clean. I got the feel the property was a lot to maintain and the owner may be getting weary with all the work involved to keep it up.

Friendly host, good location for my route. It's definitely (currently) a 'backpackers' low budget option, but the hosts do seem to care, and appear to making an effort.
Host told me to expect to step back into the 70's. He wasn't wrong, furniture and decor was definitely at least 50 years old. Unfortunately the remaining paint and general condition was of the same era and hadn't been touched, apparently, since then.
