About this house rental
Itzamná is a name from Mayan mythology that means “DEW THAT DESCENDS FROM THE SKY.”
He was the supreme deity and creator of the Maya, and was considered the god of the heavens.
Itzamná was associated with the duality of life, such as night and day, the masculine and the feminine, earth and sky, birth and death.
Itzamná House is located in a beautiful private residential complex north of the lovely city of Mérida, Yucatán.
It is a strategic location for visiting the “magical town” of Izamal, with its yellow-painted houses, horse-drawn carriage tours, and delicious almond-crusted venison, or for enjoying a delicious breakfast at the “Ojo de Agua” restaurant in the town of Kimbilá, where the most beautiful guayaberas for men and embroidered dresses for women are made, or to savor “Doña Evelia’s Motuleño eggs” in Motul, or Chicxulub and the history of the impact crater formed 65 million years ago when an asteroid struck the Yucatán Peninsula, or the pink flamingo sanctuary in Celestún, or the beaches of Puerto Progreso, or the historic center of Mérida with its museums, restaurants, and cathedrals, or the famous Paseo de Montejo and its horse-drawn carriage rides, or the stunning cenotes of these beautiful Mayan lands—not to mention Yucatecan cuisine, which is ancient, delicious, and mystical.
Itzamná House offers access to paddle tennis courts, soccer fields, and parks, and is an excellent place to walk and enjoy the beautiful sunrises, as it exudes tranquility and nature.
I assure you that you’ll enjoy this trip filled with beauty and delightful flavors like Xtabentún.
