The apartment's location was fantastic -- close to Central Park, easy subway and bus connections, lots of good restaurants around. Also, the apartment was quiet, even with the windows open. Overall, it was a decent stay, but check-in was a little off with the lockbox across the street and the other hiccups below.The beds were new and firm, but comfy and pillows were comfy too. The table was minimalist, but worked and there were plates and utensils and pans (no pots), as well as minimal kitchenware (toaster, french press, water boiler). No microwave. One awkward thing -- the only outlet in the kitchen was on the wall opposite the countertops. We boiled water on the bathroom sink b/c of the lack of outlet. Other negatives -- no air conditioning (despite the listing saying it was there), the coin laundry advertised is across the street, there are several sets of stairs that make managing a stroller difficult. The biggest oddity -- lack of other seating. The loft is useless -- there's a couch up there, but the height is too short for sitting and the ladder up did not feel safe. We didn't attempt it. That space is really not functional. Also, it was lacking other creature comforts such as an extra blanket, washcloths, a shower curtain liner, and there was no trash can (I think this is being addressed). Also, it was mostly clean but the tub had some hair in it when we arrived and my son found a random piece of candy under a bed that wasn't from us.

The location is great, close to the subway and lots of places to eat. The apartment was clean however I feel the pictures and information was misleading. The apartment is on the second floor and you have to climb a very narrow staircase, no elevator and having a bad hip had I known probably would have chosen a different place. The television was not set up and was up in the loft along with the couch so you had to climb a small metal ladder that neither of us felt comfortable trying. The space is big enough to arrange the beds and make a sitting area which would have changed the experience. There were no garbage cans anywhere, no paper towels in the kitchen, nothing basic to cook with oil, salt and pepper if we had wanted to cook we would have had to buy even the basics. The towels were damp when we used them and rough so if you want soft towels bring your own. We were out most of the time but I don't believe we would stay here again. had to purchase even the basics. Thpown.n
