About this house rental

The Hackfort 4 persons is a chalet and is suitable for 4 persons. The comfortable living room has a sitting area with television and a separate dining area. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, fridge, microwave, Senseo coffeepad machine and a coffee filter machine. This holiday home has 2 bedrooms in total: 1 bedroom with 2 single beds and 1 bedroom with a bunk bed or two single beds. There is also a bathroom with shower and toilet. Through the French doors in the living room you step out onto the landscaped terrace with garden furniture. There is parking space for 1 car at the house and you have free Wifi at your disposal.

Be aware that this property is part of a holiday park (Europarcs). It's a collection of small homes in a park with a reception building, community pool, etc. The images provided are not of the actual unit you may be assigned to. I think this should be listed under "Important Information, You Need to Know" to be a more accurate representation of the accommodation. The unit we were assigned was quite worn and certainly not what we were expecting. Overall the unit looked clean, however the bathroom had a pungent smell from drains that was awful. There were also ants in the kitchen so we did not feel safe to cook.Sheets were provided in a bag, so we had to assemble the beds ourselves (sheets, pillow cases, and duvet cover). Both beds in the primary room were visibly sunken in and need to be replaced. Also, towels were an extra charge, so we arrived to no towels. Perhaps some of these things are cultural differences to what we are used to, however our issue was that these things were not communicated in the listing - to help us make an informed decision. For anyone looking at this property, there is not public transportation (train or bus) that goes anywhere near this location. We walked 20 mins from Noordwijk with our bags to the location. That being said, it was a lovely walk :) Ultimately, we ended up renting a car after arriving and understanding the situation. We would not stay here again, however really enjoyed our time in Noordwijk and the Netherlands.
