Dominique, the host, was there to greet us on arrival. The charcuterie platter and local products (the biscuits were a delight and we got plenty more from the supermarket!) and the wide range of beverages were a welcome treat! Dominique communicated excellently, especially on the arrival procedure, very clearly through direct contact via WhatsApp, including directions and arrival times etc.
There is nothing that Dominique will not do to help you settle in and she was very helpful on a couple or our queries, for which we are very grateful and she also bought birthday gifts for those of us that were celebrating during their stay, such is her beautiful nature…
The house and it’s grounds are in a beautiful location, ideal as a base camp for exploring Bastia and the local beaches, scenery and mountains, of which the latter can be done directly on foot (if you are up for that kind of thing). The pool is always kept clean and had its fair share of use every morning and whilst we were there on the odd day when we didn’t go out exploring. The rooms and the interiors are very sympathetic to both the modern traveller and the age/history of the building, the modern, very comfortable sofa in the living room fits in perfectly! I also liked the bedside tables and lamps with the USB A and C adapters built in, so that charging those all important modern devices was a simplicity. The washing and bathing facilities were excellent, the kitchen was modern and the appliances were all clean and fully functional, as well as being easy to use. There was a small supply of household cleaning products, for those of us that needed to use the dishwasher or wash clothes etc, which was also a nice gesture and the Wi-Fi was easy to access and sufficient to meet our leisure and business needs during our stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will seek to return, one day in the distant future, to check in on Dominique and to also check into her lovely holiday home once again.
Nothing, it was a perfect throughout out stay. We were there for 2 weeks, so you would expect Dominique’s staff to tend the pool, gardens and hot tub, which they all did as discretely as possible and with a friendly smile.

Dominique vous accueille chaleureusement dans sa magnifique maison de famille, ancrée dans l’histoire. La maison dispose de tout le nécessaire pour se sentir bien et confortablement installé. Vous y découvrirez une vue panoramique sur le port, la Méditerranée et les montagnes. Je recommande à 100 % ! Nous avons tous adoré.

The idyllic private location , in a glorious apartment in a magnificent mansion. The views, the pool but the sense of history and luxury in the beautifully appointed rooms and great kitchen.
Dominique, the host, was so helpful in accommodating all of the needs of 3 generations travelling together. She also gave valuable tips about local sights to visit.
We cannot recommend this property highly enough.
