Historic Seaview Gem in Ramsgate by Adliv

The location and view are great. The huge windows let in lots of light and the living room really has the wow factor. The bedrooms are comfortable with open plan space to keep clothes. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a lot of glasses, mugs and cutlery etc. also had Le Creuset casserole dishes. The decor is great and the apartment has a nice feel and is clean (albeit I washed all our cups, glasses etc as some of them not adequately clean before being put away but the huge dishwasher made this easy). There is a big fridge/freezer, oven and modern hob (you will need to read instructions to use it, as it’s not intuitive). Lots of cupboard and work surface space.

Note that the second bedroom comes into the first bedroom, in order to get into the bathroom or the living area, may not be ideal for 2 couples but probably fine for families. No change of towels or tea towel for an entire weeks’ stay wasn’t ideal for me. Especially given the hot weather and having additional showers after walks and days out. Lack of cleaning products to clean up after ourselves, like spare bin bags or ability to clean the shower during a one week stay. A few other minor technical things like the bins not being fully clean and bedside light not working, the birds weren’t an issue on the balcony but it could really do with a good clean, to make it comfortable to sit out on - but nothing major otherwise, these were not a real problem. Our main issue, which I fully appreciate there is nothing the owners can do about but the people in the flat above are playing snooker/pool most days and night, which results in constant footsteps on creaky floorboards - throughout the day and sometimes well into the night (one night until 2am). Whilst not a problem if it happened occasionally or for a short stay, after one week of constant walking about above us all day every day, it got pretty tiresome. Having said all that, I would stay again but would be hesitant to commit to a week if this continued.

Decor and location excellent. Lovely layout and views. Comfortable and host always friendly and communicative. I will be recommending to friends.

Tricky parking, but always managed to get a space. You can hear people walking upstairs on the creaky floorboards. Be aware of the £400 damage excess you have to pay before staying. You do get this back.

Pictures true to the listing, beautiful design. Comfortable yet cool. Opening the shutters and doors onto the balcony and the sea view both mornings magical
