Art Deco One Bedroom Guest Apartment

It had everything you needed for a short break, very clean at a good location. The owner was very helpful

It is an annex so there was some noise from the main house which our dog noticed much more than us 🙂

It’s in a great location and very clean. We loved the added bonus of on-site parking, as well as the little garden for our dog (and us of course) The bed was extremely comfy

Caveat: We were performing at an event at the Weald and Downland Open-Air Museum, so were mostly just using the apartment to sleep in. If we had more time there, we might have different views. This apartment is beautiful! It was comfortable, welcoming and attractive inside. We had little contact with our hosts, but what contact we had, they came across as friendly and helpful. I would have loved to spend more time there. Basics for breakfast, such as bread, milk, tea, coffee had been left to welcome us. This was a really nice touch.

The kitchen could have better facilities. It is a very small space and they've done a wonderful job of fitting the necessary basics in. However, the only cooking options were a microwave and a hot-plate, which is a little limiting. In every other way, the kitchen is fantastic. The location is a little tricky to get to. It's down a long, private road, in a small village, so is a little tricky to get to and to find. However, that does make it wonderfully quiet and the apartment is more than worth the tiny inconvenience.

Beautifully appointed apartment, with a small private garden with furniture outside - which we made full use of. King-size bed extremely comfortable. Kitchen tiny but had all that we needed, and bathroom light and spacious, with a good-sized walk-in shower. We really liked the quality of the decor and furniture, and the quietness of the location, tucked away as it is on a private estate. Our hosts were available if we needed them, and all communications were helpful and friendly, with accurate instructions for accessing the key.

The small kitchen could be a problem for stays longer than a few days or in bad weather - the space to sit and eat is a small breakfast bar, so eating outside is the most comfortable option, especially for a tall person like my husband. Note that the local pub at the end of the lane does not serve meals on a Monday.
