Ant River Lodge Houseboat

No food included but absolutely loved the place. Not much for children to do so that was a bonus as it was so quiet. Shame BBQS Weren't allowed but understood the reason during such a dry period in mid summer. Tge adjacent hotel has a nice bar however made us feel like strangers.

Nothing really, we had an enjoyable stay however there were issues with locking the back and front doors and the external door handle to the balcony looked about ready to fall off and had screws missing.

We enjoyed the location, Ant river house boat in perfect position, just needs doing little renovation project. Value for money was good. We enjoyed our time with our grand children, they would like to make a return visit.

I didn't appreciated and wasn't happy with on line staff asking me mine & my families nationality. My title MBE should have given them the indication of MEMBER OF BRITISH EMPIRE. This is the first time I was questioned in this manner by holidaying nationally. Internationally I would have accepted this type of questioning. If it's in your booking policy please do send a copy. Ground level staff were very polite passing by making sure all was good. They didn't had to, but we appreciated their kindness. Thank you

Good location, good for fishing.

Cleanliness, a lot of cobwebs in easy to reach places. 6 berth house boat but only 4 chairs, forks missing and no sheet for sofa bed. Very close to the road bridge so traffic noise was a problem for me.

Great location , with local pub plus a garden center and boat hire a walkable distance, the fact it moved a bit on the water was nice.

The boat required some updating and cleaning, frying pan was old and burnt, shower had black mould etc. That being said night clean sheets and towels provided.
