Un petit beau Riad, A Little beautiful Riad

Wonderful flat, full of light, directly on one of the Medina's main streets. The Riad feeling comes from a glass roof in the roof top around which the rooms and kitchen are situated. It's been recently renovated with beautiful tiles showing the history of the building and the area. The open kitchen, the central dining area and the living room that opens to the West (with a view on the Council for Religious Affairs) provide space and light - and the mini balcony above the hight street is a wonderful detail for the culturally curious. The bakery across the street is a friendly asset and the medina provides everything you may need for your stay. The Bab Mellah is only 1 minute away - from there you access the City Centre, tram etc.

In an old building, some modern things feel a bit improvised, like in this case the distributed location of two showers, and two WCs - which wasn't obvious from the description so I mention it - all installation is new and fine! Also the roof top terrace has more opportunity to be realised - there was only the usual clothes-drying when I was there. Being in the religious Centre of Morocco's captial also means that you may not only hear the usual prayer calls (Adhan) - I also experienced the Tahlal which is an extra 20min sung worshipping prior to the morning prayer (at 05:30 a.m.), helping people to wake up and get ready. I loved the cultural proximity and exposure - also being 'known' to the neighbours on day 2.

L’appartement est vraiment magnifique : lumineux, spacieux et très propre. Bien équipé : ustensiles le cuisine, draps, serviettes L’hôte Simo est à l’écoute et disponible tout le temps pour chaque question. C’était le meilleur appartement que j’ai fait à rabat. Nous reviendrons
