We have stayed here before and chose it again because it is cool (in the hills) spacious, clean, comfortable and well-equipped, with on-site parking, a courtyard garden and a short stroll to lively Mad's Coffee Bar and restaurant

This apartment is in the hills above Calheta, and we could park in the small courtyard in front of the building or in spaces a bit further up the road. It is quite a spacious flat, with a big well-equipped kitchen-diner, and a separate large room with two alcoves with beds in them, and a small bathroom. A patio door leads to a narrow courtyard garden with high walls. The area is pleasantly cool compared to the seafront. Just up the road from the flat is 'Mad' coffee bar, very popular at lunchtime with its menu at reasonable prices.
