Heron Hideaway is tucked in a quiet residential neighborhood, just a short walk from Hobart & William Smith Colleges, downtown Geneva, and Seneca Lake. While peaceful and private, you’re just minutes from great restaurants, shops, wineries, and lakefront parks.
Getting Around:
While a car is recommended for exploring the region and visiting wineries, you’ll find plenty to enjoy within walking distance. Downtown Geneva’s restaurants, bars, cafes, and shops are just minutes away on foot, and the Seneca Lake waterfront is only a few blocks from the house. If you’d like to tour the wine trail, we’re happy to recommend a few trusted local wine tour companies.

➡️ Please note: We provide cooking basics, with the exception of oil at this time—it will be included in the future.
➡️ A Pack ’n Play is available BY REQUEST ONLY and provided free of charge. Please let us know in advance if you’d like one so we can have it ready for your arrival.
➡️ No Smoking Indoors – Smoking is only permitted outside, away from the house.
➡️ Guest Agreement Required – All guests must sign Get RED-y Vacations’ rental agreement prior to check-in.
➡️ Parking – Two off-street parking spaces are available directly at the property. Additional street parking is available, but please follow posted signage and local regulations.
➡️ Quiet Hours – Please respect quiet hours between 10 PM and 7 AM.

We have family in Geneva who have graciously allowed us to stay with them on our bi-annual visits over the years, but they aren’t able to come visit us very often. We were thrilled to invite our family to “our house” for dinner and to hang out. The space was perfect. We made grocery runs to Wegman’s right around the corner, and cooked for the family in the full kitchen. Some of us played pool and ping pong. Some put together a puzzle on the cute board game table. Some watched Netflix on the couch in the tv room. We grilled burgers and hotdogs one night, and I was excited to use the huge desk and comfortable desk chair to check in with work since I work remote. We had a fantastic week with day-trips to Three Brothers Winery, Horseback riding in Canandaigua, and put put golf at Sampson State Park. We really put this house through it’s paces, and it was the perfect combination of entertainment and relaxation.
